    eSwatini monarch dissolves parliament

    King Mswati III has announced the dissolution of eSwatini's 10th Parliament, APA can report on Wednesday.

    The king on Wednesday called the national to the Ludzidzini Royal Cattle Byre for a traditional dialogue session known as Sibaya where he made it clear that only cabinet ministers will remain in office until further notice.

    "I hereby declare the 10th Parliament officially dissolved with effect from June 30, 2018," he announced, adding that the annulment is meant to allow the current legislators time to also prepare for the coming elections.

    King Mswati III further warned the nation against ritual murders that are rife in the country and also associated with the elections.

    He said human blood and body parts will never bring luck, but instead it would bring misfortune.

    Eswatini will have its parliamentary elections on September 21 where the 11th parliament will be set up.

    Currently over 500 000 people registered to participate in voting.
