Ghanaian press awash with State of Nation Address

    APA-Accra (Ghana)

The State of the Nation Address delivered by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on the floor of the Parliament on Thursday dominates the headlines of Ghanaian newspapers on Friday.

The Ghanaian Times says the Ghanaian Leader assured that the economy is the right path owing to the fact that global interest in the economy has soared.

“We have reduced taxes, we are bringing down inflation and interest rates, economic growth is increasing from the alarming 3.6 percent as at December 2016 to 7.9 percent in our first year and the indications are that it will be even better this year,” he said.

The Daily Graphic states that President Akufo-Addo has promised to fix the bad roads in the country to facilitate economic growth.

He noted that after putting in place pragmatic measures to salvage the economy, it was high time the country saw an overhaul in its road sector to facilitate growth.
