The Ghanaian Times reports that the Ho-Fiave Parish Priest of the Church, Rev. Innocent Kobina Agbenuvor, said on Sunday that "Ghana belongs to us and not LGBT people."
Preaching on the theme, "Our nation, our heritage", as part of Ghana's independence activities of the church, Rev. Agbenuvor maintained that the nation had a wealthy cultural identity from God, and under no circumstances should that be adulterated or lost to an alien debauchery culture.
He explained that such cultures have led to the breakdown of many societies and should not be entertained in this country.
Rev. Agbenuvor observed that the advent of social media has increased youth indiscipline, adding that it makes it "possible for young people to hurl insults at adults with impunity".
He urged Ghanaians to rekindle a positive attitude towards a better organised nation, where people will do the right thing at the right time to secure the future of the unborn generation.
