Guinea’s former PM arrested over corruption charges

The head of the last government of the Alpha Conde regime has been placed under arrest.

Ibrahima Kassory Fofana, former Guinean Prime Minister and three of his former ministers were charged on Wednesday and placed under a committal order at the Central House of Conakry.


Following investigations by the Court of Repression of Economic and Financial Offenses, Kassory Fofana, Mohamed Diané, Zakaria Koulibaly, and Oyé Guilavogui are being prosecuted for illicit enrichment and misappropriation of public funds.
