    Ivory Coast: Several casualties recorded in police school attack

    The base of the Ivorian Operational Decisions Coordination Center (CCDO) of the police school was attacked on Wednesday night by unidentified armed individuals, military sources disclosed.

    Several casualties were recorded and equipment and weapons were taken away.

    “Individuals came on board two yellow communal taxi cabs. They broke into the school and attacked the CCDO base where weapons were washed away.”

    “At least 10 people were injured during the exchange of fire as weapons and equipment were taken away,” the source added. The police school is located in the commune of Cocody, east of Abidjan.

    In the commune of Yopougon, west of Abidjan, gunfire were also heard in the anti-riot Brigade (BAE) camp and around the Abidjan remand home and prison (MACA).
