Kenya airways cancels flights to Maroni, Dzaoudzi

Kenya Airways has announced it has cancelled flights to Moroni, the capital of Comoros because of severe weather.

The airline has also cancelled its flights to Dzaoudzi, a commune in the French overseas department of Mayotte due to unfavorable weather.

“The cancellations are due to closure of the airports by local civil aviation authorities as a result of the unfavorable weather conditions,” the airline said in a statement issued in Nairobi on Friday.

“We are monitoring and managing the situation as best as we can and we shall give updates as we continue to receive them,” added the airline.

The flight cancellation follows the aftermath of Cyclone Kenneth in northern Mozambique.
