Kenya’s Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on Thursday announced that it will announce the final results of the August 8 polls on Friday.

Addressing the media in Nairobi, IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati said that they will conclude the tallying of the results from the 290 constituencies, and declare the results by 12 pm.

The provisional presidential election results show incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta is leading with 8 million Kenyans, followed by oppsotion leader leader Raila Odinga trailing by 6.6 million votes.
Odinga has already disputed the election results, saying that IEBC systems were hacked and results tilted in favour of Kenyatta.

On Thursday, Odinga claimed that he has garnered 8.4 million votes followed by Kenyatta with 7.7 million votes.
