Emirates Airline hires 130 Nigerians - Report

The Emirates Airline says it has hired 130 more Nigerian nationals with 60 of them based in the country.

A statement by the airline on Sunday noted that its operation also supports many more jobs in Nigeria’s aviation services supply chain such as in ground handling and catering, and brings broader benefits to the Nigerian economy by supporting tourism and trade.

Nigeria’s newspaper, the Daily Trust said that the airline, which was reacting to a local media that only 10 Nigerians were employed by the airline noted with pride its diversity in employment polisy.

According to the statement, the airline noted that it employs staff from more than 170 countries around the world and connects people from all backgrounds across our international network.

The report quoted the airline as saying that it continues to receive more applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for available vacancies from all nationalities, including Nigerian nationals.
