President Weah condoles with Nigeria

Liberia President George Manneh Weah has said he was saddened by the passing away of former Nigeria president Alhaji Shehu Usman Aliyu Shagari.

Weah was speaking after signing the book of condolences at the Nigerian Embassy in Monrovia at the weekend.

Weah was received at the embassy by the Ambassador of Nigeria to Liberia, Chigozie F. Obi-Nnagozie, and also used the occasion to hail the bilateral relations, which he said continues to produce win-win benefits for the two countries, as well as the West African sub-region.

Ambassador Obi-Nnagozie thanked President Weah and entourage, and expressed the hope that Liberia-Nigeria relations will continue to thrive in the years ahead.
