    Senegal: Pharmaceutical imports up CFA2.362 bln

    Senegal’s imports of pharmaceuticals at the end of April 2018 saw an increase of CFA2.362 billion (approximately $4.015 million) at the end of May 2018, APA can report quoting the National Statistics and Population Agency (ANSD).

    These imports reached CFA11.958 billion, against CFA9.596 billion in May 2017, representing an increase of 24.6 percent in relative value (1 CFA franc = US$0.0017).

    On a monthly basis, the increase in imports of pharmaceutical products is much larger (53.7 percent), jumping from CFA7.778 billion in April 2018 to CFA11.958 billion a month later.
