Porfirio Fisac De Diego issued the list Thursday night which includes Georges Niang of Senegalese origin and Indiana Pacers players in the NBA, who was selected for the first time, along with Moussa Diagne (playing in Barcelona) and Pape Modou Mbaye (playing in Belgium).
The other highlight is the return of Mouhammad Faye, who was excluded from the group in 2015 in Tunisia following a clash with the then coach, Cheikh Sarr.
All the top players have assembled, including Gorgui Sy Dieng of the Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA), the technical leader of the group. Following is the list of the 19 selected ‘Lions’:
