Ghana: Airlines resume flights after disruption by bad weather

All local and international airlines operating at the Kotoka International Airport in Ghana have all resumed full operation after they suspended their activities temporarily following poor visibility posed by the harmattan, state-owned Daily Graphic reported Friday.

According to the paper, some of the airlines that are at the moment operating are Africa World Airlines, Starbow, Egypt Air, Emirates, Arik Air, Delta Airlines and Kenyan Airways. The paper quoted Ghana Civil Aviation Authority as saying that the temporal suspension of operation of the airlines was to due foggy atmosphere as a result of the harmattan weather which usually blow across the country from December to March.
