Poor visibility threatens flights in Ghana

APA-Accra (Ghana)

Emergence of Harmattan weather in Ghana has resulted in poor visibility which threatens flights in the country, APA learns here Thursday.

The state-owned Daily Graphic newspaper reported that the bad weather disrupted local and international flights from Accra and elsewhere. According to the paper, all passengers, who were scheduled to travel either outside or within Ghana became stranded at the Departure Terminal of the Kotoka International Airport (KIA). Those who could not wait for the cloud to clear had to leave for their various homes, with disappointment written on their faces. It continued that some people who were anxiously waiting for their loved ones at the Arrival Hall were asked to wait a little while as flights were redirected to land in neighbouring countries such as Cote D’lvoire , Togo and Nigeria owing to poor visibility.
