    King Mswati appoints acting eSwatini PM

    King Mswati III has appointed Vincent Mhlanga as acting prime minister of eSwatini, APA learnt here on Thursday.

    A former managing director at the King's Office, Mhlanga replaced outgoing premier Barnabas Dlamini who was relieved of his duties on Tuesday, together with his deputy and 18 cabinet ministers.

    The appointment was announced through a notice issued on Thursday by Attorney General Sifiso Khumalo.

    Mhlanga will commence his duties on Friday until a new prime minister is appointed after the second round of national elections scheduled for September 21.
