Three killed in Botswana army plane crash

A Botswana Defence Force CASA 2121 aircraft crashed on Thursday night shortly after leaving Thebephatshwa Air Base in the southeast of the country for the capital Gaborone, BDF has announced.

The BDF said in a statement on Friday that three officers were killed in the crash.

It said investigations were on-going to determine the cause.

Names of the deceased were yet to be released at the time of going to print as the authorities were still to inform families of the officers.
