Visiting President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique said eSwatini was one country with the highest number of his nationals in the continent.
He further applauded the fact that his compatriots were given opportunities to operate informal businesses.
“One of the reasons I am here is to personally thank the eSwatini authorities for the support they have provided to the efforts to document brothers and sisters of ours” he said while meeting Mozambicans living in the eSwatini city of Manzini on Sunday.
The president was on his last day of a three-day visit to the kingdom.
The process of registering Mozambican nationals started in 2017 and it is done at various places all over eSwatini.
King Mswati III assured the president that eSwatini would continue to be home to the people of Mozambique as it had always been pre-independence when their country was locked in a bitter war of liberation.
