The Nigerian Government has repatriated 190 stranded Nigerians from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The statement signed by the zonal director of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), North Central, Mr Bashir Garga, on Tuesday in Abuja, said that the returnees were received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Tuesday morning.
Garga explained that the returnees were received by the combined team of government officials led by NEMA.
According to him, the returnees were profiled and documented by the relevant agencies and advised to be of good behavior and and responsible on their return to Nigeria.
“The Federal Government urges all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to act as exemplary ambassadors of their country, by upholding the fundamental values of patriotism, rule of law, decency and integrity,” the statement quoted the officials as saying.
