For this purpose, the Morocco’s Minister for Infrastructure and Water, Nizar Baraka, met the Spanish Minister for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Oscar Puente Santiago, in Rabat on Monday.
In a statement to the press at the end of the meeting, the Moroccan minister said that the talks provided an opportunity to examine ways of strengthening bilateral relations and to draw up a roadmap for the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects and the 2030 Football World Cup.
The talks also focused on the project for a continental link between Morocco and Spain, which will contribute to the consolidation of the distinguished bilateral relations, which are at an advanced stage, the Minister continued.
In this respect, he mentioned the meeting of the Spanish-Moroccan Joint Committee, which will be held at the end of May, to draw up a roadmap for the evaluation of the studies carried out to this end and to finalise the design of this strategic project for the two countries, as well as for the African and European continents.
For his part, the Spanish minister indicated that these talks provided an opportunity to examine various infrastructure projects, including the rail and road networks, the common challenges linked to the
organisation of the 2030 Football World Cup, and port cooperation.
