A huge fireworks display to create a light show in the skyline of the Ivorian economic capital has been announced in Abidjan for Friday night to mark the advent of New Year 2022.
This show will begin from 22:00 GMT by the Autonomous District of Abidjan led by the Minister-Governor Robert Beugre Mambe, at the Palace of Culture in Treichville, in the south of city.
To enjoy a better view of the colourful show, visitors will access both banks of the lagoon, the Plateau or Treichville sides.
“We will also have a beautiful view at the Palace of Culture by staying with the official hosts of the Minister-Governor, Robert Beugré Mambé, the project manager of the event,” says an information note by the organizers of the display which will be broadcast live on the state teleivision RTI 1.
Again this year, the fireworks display is placed under the patronage of Cote d’Ivoire’s First Lady Mrs. Dominique Ouattara.
The Autonomous District of Abidjan will also offer a show to be orchestrated by Mulukuku DJ in a festive atmosphere of giant maquis before the explosion, crackling and detonations in the skies above the city.
