The funding will be used to align skills with labor market demands, foster the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and create jobs for young people.
The project will focus on several key areas including training young people in high-demand sectors such as renewable energy, digital technology, agribusiness, the blue economy, and textiles, supporting young entrepreneurs through financial and technical assistance, as well as access to markets, and upgrading training facilities and supporting the development of the Port of Abidjan.
By investing in youth employment and entrepreneurship, the AfDB aims to contribute to Côte d’Ivoire’s economic growth and social development. The project is expected to create significant job opportunities and empower young people to become drivers of economic change.
