APA-Dakar (Senegal) Africa Global Logistics (AGL) has been named as the official logistics sponsor of Africa Energy Week 2023, set to take place in Cape Town, South Africa in October.

The Africa Energy Week is the annual flagship event of the African Energy Chamber, bringing together prominent figures in African energy leadership, global investors, and executives representing both public and private sectors.

The event features conferences, investor forums, and exhibitions.

AGL’s new partnership with the event’s organisers reaffirms the company’s commitment to promoting its expertise in the energy sector and developing tailored logistics solutions that meet the needs of its clients and partners, according to a statement to APA on Thursday.

”As a key player in the industry, AGL has earned a strong reputation based on a deep understanding of the energy, oil, and gas sectors, as well as a dedication to excellence. Becoming the official logistics sponsor of Africa Energy Week 2023 is of paramount importance to support industry professionals, showcase the company’s innovations, and strengthen relationships with counterparts and other participating companies” said the statement.

It said given its role as sponsor of this year’s Africa Energy Week, AGL will offer solutions for efficient management of complex logistics projects, meeting the highest industry standards.

With its extensive African network, AGL positions itself as the leading logistics partner in Africa, offering optimal services that reduce costs and enhance the overall success of energy sector projects.

Speaking on the sponsorship, Sébastien Beuque, CEO of Logistics at AGL, while expressing enthusiasm over it described the event as ”a significant platform for industry leaders, and we are eager to demonstrate how our network and personalised solutions can contribute to the success of energy projects across Africa.”

Africa Energy Week has an ambitious drive to end energy poverty in Africa by 2030, a mission achieved through in-depth exchanges among industry experts.

“AGL stands as a cornerstone of the African oil and gas industry, renowned for its exceptional capabilities in transportation and its pivotal role in driving progress within the sector. Their unwavering support extends to vital areas such as fabrication yards and energy infrastructure. In an era marked by transition and sustainable energy development, AGL is poised to usher in innovative logistics technologies, solidifying their position as the industry’s premier logistics partner. Beyond the traditional realms of oil and gas, we anticipate that AGL will play a pivotal role in advancing projects in renewable energy and green hydrogen, contributing significantly to a more sustainable future”, said NJ Ayuk, Chairman of the African Energy Chamber, remarking on the partnership with AGL for the event.

AGL is delighted with its role in this important event, and renews its commitment to partnering Africa in its drive to industrialize and electrify.

The company promotes innovative and sustainable logistics solutions, guided by a more virtuous approach to energy through its CSR approach.

This translates into a determination to minimize the environmental impact of its operations, as well as a constant search for new energy models. AGL remains firmly committed to responsible and prosperous development in Africa.
