APA-Kigali (Rwanda) – AGL is present in 47 countries in Africa, as well as in Haiti and Timor.
AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a major logistics player in Africa, will actively participate in the annual summit AFRICA CEO Forum, to be held in Kigali, Rwanda, from June 16-17, 2024, as a partner of DIAMOND with a delegation of more than 30 participants.
On the occasion of this important event, which will bring together nearly 2,000 stakeholders from the world of business and politics, including heads of state, business leaders, investors, heads and members of government from Africa and around the world, AGL will present its strategy of multimodal (port, logistics, maritime and rail), integrated and sustainable logistics at the service of Africa’s transformation.
During the forum, Philippe Labonne, President of AGL, will participate in the CEO Talk, a high-level panel on the theme “Africa at the table: shaping a new future.” He will discuss AGL’s logistics solutions and operational synergies, as well as the 4 pillars of the company’s strategy for Africa’s development: population growth, intra-African trade, energy transition and digitalization.
In addition, Stanislas De Saint Louvent, Managing Director of AGL Maritime Solutions, will take part in a roundtable discussion entitled “Towards the Single Maritime Window: accelerating the digitization of African ports”, during which he will present AGL’s strategy for digitizing port terminals to optimize flows, reduce waiting times and accelerate the delivery of containers to customers.
As a strategic player present in 47 countries on the continent, AGL will also participate in several other panels on Africa’s transformations, notably on “International arbitration: creating a local ecosystem to boost Africa’s attractiveness?” with Constantin Esanou, AGL’s Legal and Insurance Director.
Similarly, Asta-Rosa Cissé, AGL’s Regional Director for Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso, will participate in a panel on “Digital transformation: how companies can take full advantage,” while Tony Stenning, AGL’s Regional Director for Southern Africa, will moderate the panel on “How mining infrastructure can unlock economic growth.”
“For the 2024 edition of the AFRICA CEO Forum, we are keen to showcase AGL’s investments and concrete initiatives to support Africa’s logistics transformation. It’s also an ideal platform to showcase our logistics solutions, infrastructure, operational synergies and the expertise of our teams to support the continent’s economic and social development. We are mobilized to actively contribute to Africa’s dynamic economic growth and we are committed to fostering strategic partnerships with other players in the ecosystem to further enhance Africa’s potential,” said Phillipe Labonne, President of AGL.
