The African Union has maintained its suspension of three of its members as a statement against the staging of coups in the continent.
The body while wrapping up a two-day heads of state summit in Ethiopia on Sunday announced it would continue to suspend from its fold junta-ruled Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso and Sudan.
All four countries had witnessed an undemocratic change of government between 2019 and 2022.
The AU expressed its readiness to help the quartet return to democratic constitutional rule within the shortest possible time.
