Welcomed at the airport by Gambia’s vice-president Muhammed B.S. Jallow on Wednesday, the Senegalese prime minister co-chairs the second Senegal-Gambia Economic Forum on Thursday.
Ousmane Sonko will also take part in the 5th Session of the Joint Consultative Commission on Friday.
Mr. Sonko’s working and friendship visit will last from 19 to 20, December 2024.
Thursday’s Economic, Trade and Investment Forum is a major event aimed at strengthening economic and trade exchanges between the two countries.
The 5th Session of the Joint Consultative Commission is responsible for monitoring bilateral cooperation between The Gambia and Senegal.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, several visits are planned as part of this trip and aim to consolidate diplomatic and economic relations between Dakar and Banjul.
