APA – Kigali (Rwanda) The Rwanda Volleyball Federation have unveiled Brazilian Paulo de Tarso Milagres as the new head coach of the country’s female and men’s volleyball team.
It will be the Brazilian tactician’s third spell with the Rwandan national volleyball team.
His first assignment is to lead Rwanda into the upcoming African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) women’s championships that will take place in Cameroon from August 6-16.
Milagres, 46, has 21 years of experience.
From 2015-2018, he was the head coach of EC Pinheiros in Brazil.
He also coached the Azoty Roleski Group PWSZ Tarnów in Poland.
The Brazilian also had two previous spells with Rwanda as head coach, first between 2010 and 2011 before returning to the hot seat in 2021.
During his first tenure, he led the Rwandan men’s U-20 team to a fourth place finish in the CAVB Men U-20 Nations championships.
