It followed intertribal clashes between armed individuals, several radio stations based in Ouagadougou announced on Wednesday.
According to Radio Omega, “the murder of six people in the village by armed individuals led to reprisals against the Peuhl community by the population, resulting in at least seven deaths.”
The Governor of the Centre-North region, Nandy Somé-Diallo, reacting on national radio urged the population to exercise restraint.
She said investigations are underway to clarify the situation.
