Burkina Faso’s Ministry of Public Service has dismissed four diplomats serving in its missions in New York, the Burkina Information Agency (AIB) reported on Wednesday.
The government accused the four dismissed diplomats of prolonged absences after being recalled to the central administration, according to the official information agency.
The officials include a former Deputy Permanent Representative to Burkina Faso’s Permanent Mission in New York, a former Consul General Ouagadougou in New York and his wife, and a former Deputy Consul of Burkina Faso in New York.
Sources indicate that these dismissals followed the completion of all administrative procedures, with none of the officials in question presenting themselves by the given deadline.
