Brigadier General Moussa Diallo visited Sebba, in the Sahel region, to meet with troops engaged in the fight against terrorism, the Burkinabe army reported.
The Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces (CEMGA) conducted a field visit on Saturday, February 1, 2025, to assess the combat forces stationed in Sebba, in northern Burkina Faso, according to the army.
General Diallo was accompanied by Minister of Territorial Administration Émile Zerbo and liaison officers from the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).
“The CEMGA praised the bravery and dedication of the soldiers on the battlefield and urged them to remain focused on the fight against terrorist groups,” the army stated in a social media post on Monday.
The army chief also called on the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) to strengthen collaboration with the civilian population in the battle against terrorism, emphasizing that “victory will only be achieved together.”
General Diallo also stressed the importance of combating misinformation.
The government delegation met with residents of Sebba, with the CEMGA assuring them that all necessary measures would be taken to ensure their safety.
