The African Handball Confederation (CAHB) on Thursday postponed the African Handball Cup of Nations, scheduled from 13 to 23 January 2022 in Guelmim and Laayoune, Morocco.
“Following the appeals registered at the Secretariat of the Confederation of African Handball (CAHB) after the draw, the Executive Committee, virtually meeting in extraordinary session, Thursday, December 9, decided on the postponement of the 25th Men’s Africa Cup of Nations beyond the month of January 2022,” the pan-African body said in a statement.
“The Council of the Confederation of African Handball will proceed to an in-depth examination of the file, during its session scheduled for December 28, 2021, for a diligent follow-up,” the CAHB added without however specifying the nature of the appeals and their authors.
The CAHB said it was apologising for any inconvenience caused in the preparation of the national teams selected to take part in the competition.
