Clarence Seedorf, the coach of Cameroon’s national football team, has named his squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
On the list unveiled Tuesday night, the conspicuous development has been the Dutchman’s decision to maintain goalkeeper Carlos Kameni, the 2000 Olympic champion in Sydney (Australia) and the absence of Vincent Aboubakar, FC Porto’s leading striker (Portugal) who is currently injured.
After their traning camp in Spain, the reigning African champions on Wednesday began the second phase of their preparation in Doha (Qatar) where they will play a friendly with nations cup-bound Mali on Friday.
The 2019 African Cup of Nations is scheduled from June 21 to July 19 in Egypt.
Cameroon are in Group F with Benin, Ghana and Guinea-Bissau.
