The Ivorian government spokesman, Sidi Toure, announced on Wednesday that a new Prime Minister will be known probably after April 1, 2021, after a Cabinet meeting.
“In the institutional calendar from April, the first session of Parliament takes place and a large majority of the members of the government were elected as lawmaker, they are already obliged to sit a first time before going to other occupations,” said Sidi Toure.
As a result, he explained, “they must be free of any commitment at the executive level, which already allows to put on leave the members of the government, so probably after April 1 the Prime Minister will be known if he is not already designated.
“I will proceed in the coming days to the appointment of a new Prime Minister who will be responsible for proposing a new government,” said Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara.
