APA – N’Djamena (Chad) King Mohammed VI had sent a message of congratulations and good wishes to the President of Chad following his victory in the election of 6 May.
The President of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami, represented King Mohammed VI at the inauguration ceremony of the President-elect of Chad, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno.
The official ceremony took place in the capital, N’Djamena, in the presence of several heads of state and government, speakers of parliament, ministers, heads of delegation, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Chad, and various other personalities.
Mr Talbi El Alami, accompanied by the Moroccan ambassador to Chad, Abdellatif Erroja, took the opportunity to convey to Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno the congratulations and greetings of King Mohammed VI, as well as the sovereign’s commitment to working closely together for the development and stability of the African continent.

Deby the candidate of the coalition for a united Chad, won the presidential election in the first round with 61% of the vote according to the final results.
