Boy, who had held the position since January 2023, was known for his close relationship with the president. However, his tenure was marked by controversy, including involvement in a corruption case.
Saleh Bachar, a former minister with a background in education and technology, has been appointed to the role. He previously served as the Minister of Posts and the Digital Economy and the Minister of Infrastructure and Opening-Up.
This latest cabinet change comes as Chad continues its transition to civilian rule following the death of former President Idriss Déby Itno in 2021.
