On 15 June 2022, Conakry Terminal, a subsidiary of Bolloré Ports, signed a partnership agreement with Guinée Education Biotechnologie relating to the construction of a school in the urban commune of Mamou.
Through this agreement, Conakry Terminal undertakes to provide €12,000 in financial support as acontribution towards the construction of a building with eight classrooms, an office and a multipurpose room.
“Improving the education system by building modern school infrastructure is one of our priorities. As a corporate citizen, we are delighted to participate in this school construction project for disadvantaged communities,” said Emmanuel Masson, Managing Director of Conakry Terminal.
“We thank Conakry Terminal for believing in us by supporting this project that will enable children to study in the right conditions. We undertake to use this sum in accordance with the spirit of the agreement signed between us,” explained Michel Cordier, CEO of Guinée Education Biotechnologie.
Conakry Terminal has also supported other projects, including the construction of latrines in the primary schools Madina Ecole and Tombo 2, the Railway Training Centre in Simbaya, and the Vocational Training Centre for people with reduced mobility (Konkoure Centre) in Mamou, while scholarships have been granted to ENAM students (the National Arts and Crafts School).
