On September 13, Congo Terminal announced the renewal of its ISO 9001 certification for the management of the Pointe-Noire container terminal.
The activities of the terminal include loading/unloading containers, storing transshipment containers, delivering import containers, and receiving export containers.
This certification highlights Congo Terminal’s dedication to delivering high-quality service to customers.
After carrying out an extensive audit from August 7 to 11, 2023, Bureau Veritas, a multinational inspection, physical testing, and certification company, recognised the management system as fully effective. As a result, the ISO 9001 certificate has been renewed for three years.
“This renewal expresses our determination to consistently improve our services and is not an end in itself,” explains Anthony Samzun, General Manager.
Audit Manager Jean Felix ESSONO for his part praised the involvement of all processes and noted many positive aspects.
ISO 9001 outlines the requirements for a quality management system and is internationally recognised. It enables companies to increase efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction.
Congo Terminal initially obtained its ISO 9001 certification in June 2017 and is committed to keeping to its standards.
The company is compliant with the ISPS code for port security.
The Congo Terminal is striving for Green Terminal environmental labeling and ISO 14001 environmental certification.
