A government update on Tuesday revealed a grim picture. The floods have claimed the lives of 289 people. Nearly 60,000 households, or roughly 285,600 individuals, have been displaced and are taking refuge in over 180 camps set up across the country. The extreme weather has also caused damage to 62 schools nationwide.
This humanitarian crisis highlights the urgent need for support and resources to help Kenya recover and rebuild.
