During his visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Cote d’Ivoire, Adama Bictogo, met with President Félix Tshisekedi.
President Tshisekedi, on Monday 16 September received Bictogo. According to the Congolese presidency, the audience took place in the presence of Vital Kamerhe, President of the National Assembly of the DRC.
Bictogo, who was attending the ceremony marking the start of the DRC’s parliamentary term, conveyed the greetings of the Ivorian head of state, Alassane Ouattara, to President Tshisekedi.
He also expressed Cote d’Ivoire’s continued support for the DRC.
Vital Kamerhe highlighted President Tshisekedi’s efforts to strengthen relations between African countries and promote regional development.
“President Félix Tshisekedi has always worked to bring African countries closer together to face the challenges of development together” he said.
