The President of the ECOWAS Commission, Mr. JEAN-Claude Kassi Brou, has received the letters of credence of two new ambassadors at a ceremony at the ECOWAS Headquarters in Abuja.
The newly accredited envoys are Rashid Bawa, High Commissioner of Ghana to Nigeria and Emmanuelle Blatmann, Ambassador of the Republic of France to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to the statement posted on the ECOWAS Website, Mr. Brou in his brief remarks, appreciated the critical role played by both countries in the areas of peace and stability in the region.
He assured them of the willingness of ECOWAS to continue to seek strong ties with their countries, particularly Ghana who holds the present Authority of the Head of States in the region.
