According to a release seen by APA on Wednesday, the ECX managed to trade a total of 256 metric tonnes of coffee, sesame, and beans.
Coffee generated the lion’s share of the income by constituting 87 percent of it, followed by sesame at 12 percent, the release stated.
The volume of coffee, sesame, and beans traded in six months has shown a 17 percent decrease compared to the same period last fiscal year mainly due to supply shortage and instability, the release added.
The ECX also started trading soybeans and chickpeas.
