Ethiopia and Germany on Thursday signed a financial and technical agreements amounting to €74.5 million.
The agreements were signed by Ethiopia’s State Minister of Finance, Admasu Nebebe and Ambassador of Germany to Ethiopia Brita Wagener.
The technical agreement aims to support three projects with a total of €28 million and will be implemented through the Technical arm of the German Development Cooperation Agency, GIZ.
The projects are special initiative on “Training and Job Creation”: Jobs Partnership and Small and Medium Enterprises SME Promotion with Ethiopia, Social and Economic Reintegration of Ex-Combatants and Conflict-Affected Groups and land governance in Ethiopia.
Similarly, the financial agreement worth €46.5 million will be used to finance two projects.
These two projects are strengthening the social and economic integration in concerned region and basket financing education.
The social and economic integration in concerned region will be implemented together with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) with an allocation of €10 million.
