The remains of the former Ethiopian President Dr Negasso Gidada has arrived home from Germany on Saturday morning.
Senior government officials including Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and federal and regional states’ officials, received the body at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.
The former Ethiopian President will be laid to rest on Sunday May 5, 2019 at St Peter and St Paul church at 3 pm local
Dr Negasso died last Saturday April 2, 2019 in Germany.
The House of People’s Representatives (Parliament) declared Monday, May 6, 2019 as a national day of mourning for the former President served as the first president of the Ethiopia.
The parliament also decided a state funeral with full honour Military March and high ranking government officials will be attending the funeral.
