Ethiopian Airlines has been named the ‘Best Airline in Africa 2022″ at the Global Travelers Tested Reader Survey Awards, one of the most prestigious honors in the world of travel.
The Global Traveller Magazine Tuesday announced a bevy of winners of the GT Tested Reader Survey awards, honoring the best in the world of travel.
GT ranked Ethiopian airlines ranks the highest in the top five African airlines list.
Royal Air Maroc, Kenya Airways, Air Seychelles, and Air Mauritius picked the remaining four spots, respectively.
In the list of top airports, O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa scooped the Best Airport as well as Best Duty-Free Shopping in Africa.
Addis Ababa Bole International Airport ranked second in both the Best Airport and duty-free shopping in Africa list.
Globally, Singapore Airlines takes the top honors as Best Overall Airline in the World, and the Airbus A350 scored above the rest as Best Aircraft Type.
GT has also picked the winners in various categories: Trans-Pacific for the Fastest-Growing Airline, Air France for Best Airline for International First Class, and Turkish Airlines for Best Airline for Business Class.
The travelers’ magazine also named Hamad Doha’s International Airport as the World’s Best Airport and Greece as the Best Tourism Destination followed by Italy and Spain.
