APA-Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) Ethiopian Airlines is set to double its daily flight service to Ghana’s capital Accra as the carrier continues to expand its African corporation.
The national flag carrier ” will operate time a week. twice daily flights from Addis Ababa to Accra, starting from October 29″ the Airline said in a statement.
This will allow the airlines to operate seven afternoon flights , and seven evening/ early morning flights.
The move comes days after Ethiopian Airlines said that it will increase its flight frequency to Djibouti to seventeen times a week starting from Nov 1, 2023.
In Sept, Ethiopian Airlines CEO Mesfin Tasew said the carrier “will continue to expand its flights in Africa” while announcing the service launch to CAR’s Bangul in Sept.
Ethiopian has since launched a second daily flight to Mombasa on Sept 15. The airline has also announced plans to add four flights to Bujumbura to expand its weekly operations to Burundi to 11.
The increase in Bujumbura flight operations will become effective a couple of days after Ethiopian scheduled a thrice-weekly direct flight launch to Bossaso, Somalia on Oct 29,
The expanded services are expected to give passengers flight options to more than Ethiopian Airlines’ 150 destinations across five continents.
