An Ethiopian mother, Bukayo Dulecha has given birth to quadruplets in the Borena zone of Oromia State.
The babies were on Tuesday delivered at the Teltele primary level hospital using cesarean section procedure that took 50 minutes.
Sora Shere, head of the hospital, told reporters that gender distribution of the babies is perfect with two baby girls and two baby boys.
The mother who was in her sixth pregnancy gave birth at 8 am.
Dr. Berhanu Bekele, who led the cesarean section procedure, said the operation was conducted at the 35th week of her pregnancy.
“Dulecha was having check-ups during her fifth- month of pregnancy,” Bekele said, adding that the births of the quadruplets were a first in the history of the hospital.
