According to the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) the five including the pilot and another unidentified male were reported to have been on board the chartered plane.
Witnesses say the Cessna 206G plane registration number 5Y-BSE appeared to have developed a mechanical problem before it came crashing into the thick forest in Londiani.
“There were five occupants in the plane and they did not survive,” Edward Mwamburi, police chief for the Rift Valley region was quoted saying by KBC.
He said the Cessna plane was heading from the Maasai Mara to Lodwar, near Lake Turkana.
All the occupants on board the ill-fated plane died on the spot.
The aviation safety network says it is investigating the circumstances around the crash.
