The majority of political parties in Morocco have denounced Israel’s ‘unjust’ aggression deliberately targeting defenseless civilians in the Gaza Strip.
In a communiqué signed by the National Rally of Independents, the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) and the Istiqlal Party (PI) published at the end of their meeting held on Monday, the parties stress that the collateral damage of the Israeli aggression is spreading to alarming levels, affecting even crucial institutions such as hospitals, places of worship, schools and refugee camps.
All this comes on top of an unjust siege that deprives Palestinians of basic necessities, including medicine, water, electricity and food, while the international community remains deafeningly silent, in flagrant violation of international law, humanitarian law and human values, they said.
The majority parties call for an immediate end to this devastating war on Gaza and urge the international community to intervene to protect civilians.
Humanitarian corridors are urgently needed to deliver vital aid to the Palestinians.
At the same time, they called for the establishment of a political horizon to resolve the Palestinian question.
This includes the establishment of an independent, sovereign and viable Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.
The parties warmly welcomed the efforts of King Mohammed VI, in his capacity as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to preserve the historical and legal status of the city of Al-Quds as well as its religious sanctity.
