The German Chancellor has expressed sympathy to the people of Burkina Faso and condemned the terrorist attack in Barsalogho in the Centre-North region on Saturday, August 24, which claimed the lives of several civilians and FDS and left many injured.

Saturday, August 24, 2024 in Barsalogho in the Centre-North region, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The German diplomat expressed his sympathy on Monday, August 26, 2024 during an audience with Burkina Faso’s head of diplomacy, Jean Marie Traoré.
A terrorist attack in Barsalogho, in the Centre-North region, last Saturday claimed the lives of several civilians and FDS. Many people were also injured. A government delegation went to the scene to offer its condolences to the people.
The United States condemned the attack, reaffirming support for Burkina Faso, while Niamey expressed its solidarity with Ouagadougou in a message from General Abdourahamane Tiani.
