Ghana has moved up three places in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday.
The Black Stars moved from 51 to 49, after gaining nine (9) points in March following improved performance in their African Championship qualifier and some friendly matches.
They beat Kenya 1-0 in their final AFCON 2019 qualifier and Mauritania 3-1 in Accra to move up in the world rankings.
They also occupy the sixth position in Africa, following after Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria, Morocco, and DR Congo, who occupy the first five (5) positions respectively.
The Black Stars slummed down the ranking after long time of inactivity and failure to glitter in some major outings.
But the recent revival by Coach Kwesi Appiah has brought some hope to the many Ghanaian soccer fans, who were giving up hope on the potentials of the team.
