The two, Lauren Patricia Catherine Tilley, 19 and Bailey Jordan Chittey, were flown back to their country after a joint team of the National Security, Bureau of National Investigations and Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWA) rescued them on Wednesday.
The Daily Graphic confirms that they were received on arrival in Canada by officials and family members, after being kidnapped for more than one week by some suspected Ghanaian-Nigerian syndicate.
So far, 10 persons have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping, four of them being Nigerian nationals reported to have masterminded the kidnap.
