In an address, Dr. Bawumia said Ghana was committed to entrenching the use of electronic payment platforms in Ghana as part of plans to discontinue the use of cash for payments.
He noted that the implementation of the mobile interoperability where bank accounts were linked with mobile money wallets would ease payments for goods and services and encourage the use of electronic platforms for payments.
“By the middle of this year, government is going to move away from using cash for government services. We are going to do all transactions in electronic payment,” he added.
